This role is responsible for monitoring product quality throughout production and packaging to ensure finished goods consistently meet internal standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
Maintain working knowledge of quality and food safety standards applicable to raw food ingredients and animal feed products
Verify compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices across all production and packaging activities
Conduct routine and special testing on in-process and finished materials, including moisture, cleanliness, and size specifications
Follow laboratory best practices when performing tests and documenting results
Enter test data into electronic systems and generate shipment documentation when required
Perform regular audits and inspections of processing and packaging areas
Promote a culture of safety by supporting food safety, workplace safety, and customer protection initiatives
Quarantine and clearly identify material that does not meet quality or process requirements
Support investigations related to product issues, deviations, or customer feedback to help identify root causes
Assist with employee training related to quality and food safety programs
Participate in ongoing learning opportunities to enhance technical and regulatory knowledge
Keep work areas organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
Complete additional tasks as needed to support plant operations
Work extended hours or overtime when operational needs require
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related manufacturing quality role
