Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to understand their manufacturing processes and product configuration needs
Configure and customize Variant Configuration models in SAP PP to support complex product structures and options
Design and implement rules, dependencies, and constraints for product variants using SAP VC
Develop and maintain product models, characteristics, and classes in SAP VC
Integrate Variant Configuration with other SAP modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP)
Provide technical expertise and support for SAP PP Variant Configuration projects
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Variant Configuration solutions
Document functional specifications, technical designs, and configuration guides
Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience as SAP PP with Variant Configuration
Strong background in SAP Production Planning (PP) and extensive experience with Variant Configuration (VC) within the SAP environment
Collaborate with clients to understand their manufacturing processes and product configuration needs
Configure and customize Variant Configuration models in SAP PP to support complex product structures and options
Design and implement rules, dependencies, and constraints for product variants using SAP VC
Develop and maintain product models, characteristics, and classes in SAP VC
Integrate Variant Configuration with other SAP modules such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP)
Provide technical expertise and support for SAP PP Variant Configuration projects
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Variant Configuration solutions
Document functional specifications, technical designs, and configuration guides
Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams
Minimum 10+ years of experience working with SAP PP Variant Configuration
Strong understanding of SAP PP module and its integration with Variant Configuration
Proficiency in configuring Variant Configuration models, characteristics, and dependencies
Experience with configuring product structures, routings, and bills of materials (BOMs) in SAP PP
Knowledge of SAP ERP implementation methodologies and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
Preferred
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC
Knowledge of SAP VC integration with SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM)
Familiarity with SAP VC enhancements and customizations
Understanding of manufacturing processes and industry-specific requirements
Experience with project management and stakeholder management
