The role involves providing secretarial support to Workers' Compensation Judges and ensuring efficient office operations by performing various clerical duties such as scheduling hearings, preparing documents, and maintaining case files.

Responsibilities

Performing secretarial duties for Workers' Compensation Judges
Providing office support within the Workers' Compensation Office of Adjudication (WCOA) District Office
Scheduling hearings and mediations
Preparing court rooms both in person and virtually for Judges prior to hearing days
Arranging for vendor services according to WCOA policy for interpreters, security guards, and court reporters
Preparing and filing documents, correspondence, and transcripts in digital and hard copy files
Typing and formatting decisions
Processing and preparing case files related to appealed decisions in accordance with WCOA Policies and Procedures
Utilizing Workers' Compensation Automation and Integration System (WCAIS) to maintain a caseload, process tasks, and distribute correspondence for claims
Corresponding with the public by phone, email, mail, or through WCAIS
Answering questions from external sources or referring them to the appropriate contacts when necessary

Required

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
