Business Development Manager (data storage software)
Escalate is a deep-tech company redefining enterprise storage infrastructure, and they are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth efforts in North America. The role involves owning revenue growth, building strategic relationships, and driving new customer acquisition in various priority verticals.
Responsibilities
Own revenue growth and business expansion in North America
Build and manage strategic relationships with storage vendors, system integrators, and hyperscale cloud providers
Drive new customer acquisition in the priority verticals: such as Media & Entertainment, HPC, Databases, Cloud-native storage, Data Lakes, and Logging/Monitoring pipelines
Represent the company at industry events and technical forums, owning its brand and narrative in the US
Manage sales forecasts and quarterly goals, ensuring sustainable business growth
Provide customer feedback to influence product development and roadmap
Qualification
Required
5–10+ years of experience in technical B2B sales, with a focus on enterprise storage, data infrastructure, or adjacent technologies
Deep understanding of the storage ecosystem: file, block, object storage, and emerging architectures (e.g., NVMe, distributed storage)
Ability to engage both technical audiences (DevOps, infrastructure teams, CTOs) and business stakeholders
Proven ability to develop new markets and scale technical products from zero to one
Self-motivated, comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
