Project Manager
Swinerton is a construction company seeking a Drywall Project Manager to oversee all aspects of commercial drywall projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role involves managing budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring projects are completed safely and within budget.
Responsibilities
Manage drywall projects from award through final closeout
Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts
Track job costs, labor productivity, and material usage
Prepare and manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals
Lead project meetings with superintendents, foremen, clients, and trade partners
Ensure compliance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications
Review drawings and specifications for constructability
Assist with takeoffs, pricing, and scope reviews
Identify risk, value-engineering opportunities, and cost savings
Coordinate buyout and material procurement
Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen to support field operations
Coordinate manpower planning and work sequencing
Resolve field issues, conflicts, and schedule impacts
Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare monthly cost reports and billing applications
Track committed costs vs. budget
Review vendor and subcontractor invoices
Support project closeout including punch lists, as-builts, and final billing
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards
Participate in safety meetings and jobsite inspections
Promote a strong safety-first culture
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in commercial drywall or interiors project management
Strong knowledge of drywall systems, metal framing, ACT, and interior finishes
Experience managing self-perform labor preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, CMiC, Bluebeam, Excel)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Experience on large-scale commercial, healthcare, education, or TI projects
Familiarity with scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project)
OSHA 30 certification
