Responsibilities

Maintain and improve ISO 9001 and NADCAP quality systems

Write and update procedures, work instructions, and quality documents

Lead internal and external audits

Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements

Interpret NAVSEA , Electric Boat , MIL‑SPEC , AMS , ASTM , and ASME standards

Oversee NDT procedures and review CMTRs, mill certs, and vendor documents

Ensure heat‑treat and pyrometry compliance ( AMS 2750E )

Handle nonconformances, corrective actions, and customer issues

Support production, engineering, forging, and machining operations

Approve quality documentation packages and maintain traceability

Qualification

Required

5+ years in shipbuilding or manufacturing

BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar

Experience with ISO 9001 and NADCAP

Knowledge of Electric Boat and/or NAVSEA specifications

Preferred

Auditor certification (Internal or Lead)

NDT Level II certification

Experience working with military or naval specifications
