Responsibilities

Sell various types of insurance policies to individuals and businesses on behalf of insurance companies, including Automobile, Home, and Life. Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans

Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person or property to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage

Assist clients with claims and policy maintenance. Look for alternatives when necessary to ensure client satisfaction

Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients

Conduct internal training on insurance products and help administer branch referral programs as requested

Assist in promoting credit union products and services

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

Two years of similar or related experience

P&C license required

Property and Casualty insurance background

Preferred

A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school preferred. Education requirement may be substituted with equivalent knowledge gained through work experience
