Electrical Engineer – Power (Denver)
Burns & McDonnell's Power global practice is seeking to hire an experienced Electrical Engineer. The role involves designing and constructing power generation facilities, including various energy sources, and working with project teams to create designs that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities
Perform electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion
Modify and review production drawings
Design electrical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers
Apply strong knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry
Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers
Efficiently utilize a number of design software tools to perform engineering calculations and physical plant designs
Compile information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration
Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations in support of project execution
Act as a field engineer on construction sites
Perform other duties as assigned
Comply with all policies and standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program, and 3 years of electrical engineering experience
OR a bachelor's degree in electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred
OR a master's degree in electrical engineering and 2 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred
Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including team building, collaboration, and organization
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills
Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures
Strong computer skills include Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D rendering programs, and other analysis programs
Preferred
Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license encouraged
