Responsibilities

Lead full-stack development of scalable, performant web applications using Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, and Node.js
Architect and maintain serverless backend solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Firebase, with Firestore as a core database
Manage deployment, optimisation, and CI/CD pipelines on Vercel, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and lead best practices across the team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless frontend-backend integration and outstanding user experiences
Drive architectural and strategic technical decisions, proactively identifying and solving complex challenges
Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend platform functionality

Required

Extensive experience as a full-stack engineer with leadership over large-scale applications
Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Firebase, and Firestore; strong serverless architecture experience
Strong frontend and backend skills: Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, Node.js
Experience deploying and managing applications on Vercel, with CI/CD and performance optimisation knowledge
Proven ability to architect scalable backend systems and integrate third-party APIs
Experience mentoring junior developers and guiding technical teams
Comfortable in globally distributed teams; West Coast US or EU candidates preferred
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach

Preferred

Candidate location: Preferably East Coast US (or equivalent with similar time zones), but there is flexibility
Experience mentoring junior developers and guiding technical teams
Comfortable in globally distributed teams; West Coast US or EU candidates preferred
