Responsibilities

Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system

Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability

May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption

May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software

May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists

May administer network security measures

Required

BA/S in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field is required. A combination of experience and education may be accepted in lieu of degree

Six years (6+) of relevant technical experience is required

Intermediate-to-advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically

Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level, may be required to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hire

US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location
