They are seeking an HVAC Engineer for commercial and industrial facilities, responsible for the design and engineering work of HVAC projects, including planning, coordinating, and supervising project design.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize the initial design approach for major phases of HVAC projects for large commercial/industrial facilities, with overall responsibility for engineering work
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering work
Perform design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work as required by assignment
Research code issues and design options; document findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers
Review drawings, plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates from vendors, clients, engineers, and architects; recommend necessary changes
Supervise project design and ongoing progress, including coordination with city, state, and county officials and other outside agencies
Liaise between clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams
Participate in bidding and construction administration

Required

Relevant engineering degree: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field
P.E. license required (must be a fully licensed Professional Engineer, PE licensed)
Commercial / industrial HVAC (HVAC/R) engineering experience, in such areas - for example - as: heating/cooling loads, boilers, furnaces, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, rooftop units, fan coil units, ductwork design, exhaust and ventilation systems, heat exchangers, refrigeration systems, dust collection, data center cooling, etc
