Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret Minnesota assessment data
Oversee the accurate transfer of assessment data to database systems
Coordinate report modifications that result in database or report calculation updates
Maintain data integrity throughout the update process
Utilize professional knowledge of educational research theory to create and implement data-driven processes that monitor compliance of federal and Minnesota state policy related to statewide academic assessment
Conduct analyses and special research studies to assure all technical requirements expected by the United States Department of Education for the Every Student Succeeds Act State Assessment Peer Review process are met

Required

Four (4) years of professional experience in quantitative data analysis, data management, measurement, or statistics, including:
Experience completing analyses using a programming code (e.g., R, SQL, SAS, STATA, Python)
Experience working with education data
Knowledge of educational assessment systems
Experience communicating technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
A Master's degree may substitute for 18 months of experience and a Bachelor's degree may substitute for one (1) year of professional/advanced-professional experience

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Education, Measurement, or related field
Experience working with K-12 education data
Experience analyzing large datasets
Experience with Minnesota educational assessment development
Experience using data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
Familiarity with psychometric concepts
Familiarity with data governance and metadata documentation practices
