Responsibilities
Prepare new business and renewal pricing models for Physicians and Hospitals
Ensure models consistently capture the exposures and historical loss experience
Understand downstream data considerations
Continuously strive to improve efficiency and accuracy of pricing model
Assist in maintenance of Excel-based models
Conduct research to optimize our ability to measure risk appropriately
Update and manage databases
Prepare and analyze statistical information
Maintain high standards of accuracy in exercising duties and responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of ad hoc reports and studies on topics relevant to the business of professional liability insurance
Qualification
Required
At least two years of Insurance experience
Third Party Verification of Statistical education: (minimum 1)
BA in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field
Completion/passing of one actuarial exam
Experience with Excel
Demonstrated ability to code using a primary programming language such as SQL, R, SAS and/or Python
Excellent quantitative, math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills
