Risk Strategies Company is seeking a Claims Assistant to join their team. The role involves assisting the claims auditor with ensuring accurate and timely documentation and filings into databases, while also providing support to claimants and clients regarding their claims and policies.

Responsibilities

Assists claimants, providers, and clients with problems or questions regarding their claims and/or policies

Ensuring compliance with state laws, company policies, and procedures in all claim-related activities

Monitor incoming emails and enter information received in database within 24 hours

Enter 50% notices/Trigger Diagnosis Reports and alert nurse on any potentially large claimant based on the guidelines established (diagnosis and/or dollar amount)

Enter LCM (Large Case Management) notices and notify the nurse

Process claims, checks and SLAM Reports

Required

Ability to process high volume of transactions accurately

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment

Preferred

BA/BS degree preferred or high school diploma with six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
