Responsibilities

Use of SolidWorks CAD to develop tools that enable manufacturing, aid process improvement or address safety concerns
Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control through the application of Lean principles
Solve Manufacturing Engineering problems of varying levels of complexity
Create assembly work instructions utilizing Microsoft Office
Assist in resolving quality, productivity and safety turnbacks for Manufacturing Engineering

Required

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred

Machining and/or assembly experience through work or school experiences including fixture design, tooling design and Geometric Dimensioning/Tolerancing schooling or experience (GD&T) a plus
Knowledge of 3D printing for tools and/or fixtures
CAD Design experience, SolidWorks is a strong plus
