Use SQL and Python (or similar languages) to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, files, third-party systems)
Design and implement data transformations (joins, aggregations, feature creation, reshaping) to support reporting, analytics, experimentation, and modeling
Help standardize business definitions, metrics, and dimensions across datasets to ensure consistency and reusability
Build and maintain repeatable data preparation workflows to feed curated tables, views, and data marts
Implement data quality checks and validation rules to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
Investigate and resolve data issues, discrepancies, and anomalies in partnership with source system owners and downstream users
Document lineage, schemas, and transformation logic, aligning with internal governance standards
Ensure datasets are designed to support key business KPIs, dashboards, and analytic use cases
Provide Data Scientists with clean, structured input datasets for modeling and experimentation
Support Analysts and business users in understanding table structures, field definitions, and best practices for querying data
