Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server and Linux environments

Manage Active Directory , including user accounts, group policies, permissions, and access control

Monitor system performance, availability, and security across servers and applications

Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python

Support and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Apply security best practices , including patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation

Troubleshoot system, application, and access-related issues

Perform backups, disaster recovery testing, and system documentation

Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to resolve issues

Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards

Qualification

Required

8+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role

Strong experience with Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Rocky) and Windows Server

Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Group Policy

Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Solid understanding of system security, patching, and access controls

Experience troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure in production environments

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)

Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Knowledge of CI/CD or infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)

Security certifications or exposure to compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC 2)

Experience supporting remote users and distributed systems
