Responsibilities

Ensures all submissions are effectively managed to reach decline or quoting status within a defined service level agreement

Necessary interaction with carriers and producers to gather needed information in an organized manner

Determines the pricing, coverages and exclusions for each submission

Responsible for reviewing and responding to back-end underwriting reviews and new business audits

Documents underwriting decisions within standards and expectations

Provides reports necessary to perform underwriting analysis

Follows up on open quotes

Required

3-5 years of personal lines insurance underwriting experience required

Must possess the ability to appropriately apply loss development and advanced loss analysis concepts to achieve optimal pricing of a risk and creatively utilize coverage features, deductibles, or reinsurance on individual risks to achieve company objectives

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook and Excel required

Preferred

1-2 years of wholesale distribution experience strongly preferred
