They are seeking a Project Engineer who will collaborate with the Project Team to plan and support the completion of construction engineering projects while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Problem solves with the Project Manager and Superintendent to develop effective plans and schedules for constructing the project and determine the means and methods necessary to meet project goals

Interprets drawings, specifications and technical information and disseminates to the Project Team, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design details

Identifies, orders and coordinates delivery of permanent materials such as pipe, stone, reinforcing steel, beams, etc. Works with the Project Team and Purchasing Department to ensure that all required purchase orders and subcontracts are finalized in a timely and cost-effective and simplistic manner

Manages the RFI and submittal process including establishment and maintenance of project control logs in CMiC

Processes owner billings and project related accounting tasks

Assists Project Manager with development of Change Orders and related documentation

Monitors all work, including subcontractors, for safety compliance in conjunction with the Safety Manager. Maintains project safety files and reviews the project schedule for activities requiring special safety measures

Required

Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction management (estimating, operations, and/or engineering) role

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related major, or equivalent required

OSHA 30 hour required

Must possess working knowledge of contract administration systems, job cost management, change order management, labor & equipment reporting, planning, and scheduling, preconstruction planning, safety policies and procedures, safe work procedures

Preferred

Heavy civil experience preferred

Continuing education in construction is highly desirable

FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification preferred
