Responsibilities
Prepare all production entries, post into the production log, and post into the accounting system in a timely manner
Analyze results of production reports for reasonableness and work with plant personnel to understand and report on unreasonable cost and yield variances in production
During the summer harvest, duties will be expanded to work with staff to develop, implement and monitor various accounting policies and procedures related to receiving fruit and the related production
Work with outside auditors as required
Maintain the records storage program for financial records utilizing electronic formats whenever possible
Collaborate with managers at the plant locations to develop reports and provide regular updates for tracking expenses and budgeting
File any other outside reports or special tasks as needed and requested by the Controller
Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding business information
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field plus 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and SAGE 100 accounting software
Proficient in the use of equipment typical of an office environment (computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, etc.)
Good communications and writing skills
