They are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to foster a safe workplace environment by advancing environmental, health and safety performance improvements in support of regulatory requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and deliver training programs in a manner that raises employee’s awareness and enables employees and supervisors to work safely
Review and update EHS policies and procedures as needed
Ensure safety guidelines, procedures and policies are followed
Conduct facility inspections and audits
Conduct onsite drills (Fire, Weather, Hazard Release, Security Events)
Conduct incident investigations and help develop corrective and preventative actions
Maintain documentation requirements per OSHA and other regulatory requirements
Monitor and remain up-to-date on regulatory requirements (EPA, OSHA, NC Dept. of Labor)
Manage storm water and waste water program and ensure proper reporting through MSD
Oversee development and growth of site safety committee
Responsible for submitting TIER II, TRI, and other yearly requirements
Ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is available to personnel
Responsible for handling Workers’ Compensation claims
Qualification
Required
Completion of post-secondary education in the field of occupational health and safety, a related discipline or equivalent experience
Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening (provided by Milkco)
Will conduct a Criminal Background Check
Must pass an E-Verify Screening
Must want to work and have excellent attendance
Need to be cooperative and able to get along with a lot of people
Must be a team player with the ability to contribute in a team atmosphere
Preferred
Experience with Ammonia Refrigeration (PSM/PHA/RMP) desired
