Senior ServiceNow Developer

CirrusLabs is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow ITSM. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level ServiceNow solutions while leading complex configuration and customization efforts to optimize IT service delivery aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, configuration, and support of the ServiceNow platform leveraging ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB, and Service Catalog
Architect and implement scalable workflows, automation solutions, and custom applications to enhance IT service delivery
Customize and script using JavaScript / Glide API (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies) and Flow Designer
Manage integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers with external systems
Participate in platform upgrades, performance tuning, testing, and deployment planning
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex platform issues while ensuring data integrity and stability across environments
Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards/best practices
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, ITSM process owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
Document designs, configurations, customizations, and standard operating procedures
Ensure compliance with governance, security, and change management frameworks

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
7+ years of IT experience including at least 5 years in hands-on ServiceNow development focusing on ITSM
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM (CIS-ITSM) or equivalent
Strong understanding of ITIL V3/V4 processes and ServiceNow ITSM best practices
Expert scripting skills in JavaScript/Glide API and strong experience with common developer tools
Experienced with integrations, CMDB data models, and cross-platform communication mechanisms
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team leadership, mentoring experience, and ability to work under minimal supervision

Preferred

Additional ServiceNow certifications such as Application Developer (CAD), ITOM, HRSD, or other implementation specialties
Experience with Performance Analytics, Virtual Agent, Mobile/Portal UI, ATF automation, and CI/CD practices
Demonstrated ability to lead large implementations and enhancements across enterprise environments
