Responsibilities
Design, document, prototype, and transfer tooling hardware to manufacturing
Analyze specifications, blueprints, and shop data to resolve design challenges
Develop tool configurations using algebraic and geometric formulas
Create detailed layout and drawings using CAD tools (Auto Desk Inventor/AutoCAD)
Modify tool designs based on trial or production feedback for improved performance
Manage data entry, document revisions, and information control
Lead and direct junior tool designers on tasks and priorities
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred)
U.S. Citizenship
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
10+ years of hands-on experience in tool design
Skilled in Auto Desk Inventor/AutoCAD and GD&T (standards Y14.5, Y14.43, Y14.41)
Expertise in tooling hardware/software design and practical problem-solving
Strong communication skills (oral, written, diagrammatic) for translating complex ideas
Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
Adaptability to fast-paced and dynamic environments
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field or certification
