Dole Food Company is seeking a Packaging Lead for their production plant operations. The role involves leading and directing daily operations in the packaging area to ensure production standards are met while producing safe and quality food.

Food Processing

Responsibilities

Assure paperwork is complete, correct, and timely
Follow schedule sequence, ensuring on-time starts and efficient changeovers
Monitor film, carton and rework yields
Monitor changeover and machine downtime
Achieve schedule attainment within prescribed standards
Achieve accuracy on harvest estimate
Monitor breaks and lunches
Train employees to meet operating procedures
Assure baggers are meeting standards, such as uptime efficiencies, bags per minute, and % of standard
Conduct tailgates and lead exercise routines at shift start each day
Any and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor

Required

Knowledge of production processes is required
Must have good communication and computer skills
Must be a self-starter and possess initiative
Must be able to lead and direct
Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment
Required to work independently and with limited supervision
Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance
Follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures
Must have HS Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to perform required tasks
Ability to work overtime; some weekends are required

Preferred

Previous experience in a food processing facility is desired
