The HR Operations Director is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and daily management of all HR operational functions, ensuring seamless system integration, data integrity, and process efficiency.

Responsibilities
Serve as the system owner and lead administrator for the core HRIS platform, overseeing configuration, security, user roles, and business processes
Maintain strict controls to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security through regular audits and validation procedures
Develop and generate custom reports, metrics, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making for HR and business leaders
Act as the primary liaison with HR system vendors, managing relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met
Lead the full lifecycle of HR system implementations, upgrades, patches, and enhancements, collaborating with IT, Finance, and other stakeholders to minimize disruption
Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation
Redesign and document HR workflows to increase efficiency and enhance the overall employee experience
Partner with IT, Finance, and department heads to ensure seamless integration between the HRIS and other systems (e.g., payroll, benefits providers, time & attendance, identity systems)
Oversee all payroll processing operations, ensuring accurate and timely calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions, while ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulations
Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
Responsibilities include vendor management, supporting the open enrollment process, and resolving escalated benefits-related issues
Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations affecting payroll and benefits, updating policies and procedures as needed to mitigate organizational risk and ensure legal compliance
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Several years of progressive experience in HR operations, with a strong focus on HRIS management, payroll, and benefits administration
Proficiency in major HRIS platforms and an understanding of data analysis and reporting tools
The ability to translate technical specifications to non-technical stakeholders is crucial
Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills are essential for coordinating cross-functional teams and leading change management initiatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate complex information to employees at all levels of the organization
