Information Technology System Administrator
Miracle Software Systems, Inc is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize their technology infrastructure. The role involves overseeing system installation, troubleshooting, security, and performance monitoring while collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless operations and business continuity.
Responsibilities
System Installation and Configuration: Install and configure hardware, operating systems, applications, and network devices
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve technical issues across systems and networks
User Account Management: Create, modify, and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Security: Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security solutions
Monitoring and Performance: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and conduct proactive maintenance with MSP tools
Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup/recovery processes to safeguard data and ensure business continuity
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
Technical Support: Provide timely support to users and guests for technical issues
Software Updates and Patches: Apply updates, patches, and security fixes to keep systems current
Networking: Configure and manage routers, switches, printers, and other network infrastructure
Cloud Services: Administer cloud-based services and resources
Automation: Design and implement automated processes to improve efficiency
Collaboration: Work closely with IT staff, system analysts, engineers, MSPs, and vendors
Project Management: Plan, organize, and supervise IT projects, balancing requirements with schedules and budgets
Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered
Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in user support, systems management, or application implementation/training
Industry Background: Experience in Emergency Response, Restoration, Construction, or Environmental fields is a plus
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of M365 and endpoint management is highly desirable
Preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Commitment to proactive system management and continuous improvement
