Responsibilities

Interact with group leaders and other key attorneys on firmwide BD activities; develop strong working relationships and maintain an important level of day-to-day interaction with lawyers
Advise practice and industry group leaders on relevant business development efforts
Lead the execution of practice, client team and industry group meetings
Implement the execution of cross-selling strategies, including collaborating with cross-practice and industry teams in conjunction with relationship partners
Manage RFPs and prepare tailored, compelling pitches and responses and requests for information and proposals
Ensure follow up conducted from client post pitch; track and act on actions which arise; assess how feedback can be utilized to enhance win rate
Develop practice-related pitch materials, such as profiles, experience lists, and case studies
Consult with Client Intelligence to prepare research to support cross-selling efforts for existing and prospective clients as well as relationship reports, relationship maps, and targeting plans
Collaborate with BrandMarComm on the creation and maintenance of written marketing materials and website content, including practice profiles and relevant experience lists
Ensure all marketing communications channels are utilized to convey consistent messages about the Firm and its experience, including the use of social media in consultation with the digital team
Assist with the maintenance of experience databases, as well as industry-specific cases and wins
Review and manage recommendations for and coordinate sponsorships, memberships, and event attendance at client and industry events to increase the visibility and brand of the firm in assigned practice groups/teams
Collaborate with lawyers and the Brand, Marketing and Communications team for brand positioning efforts, including the management of strategic conference sponsorships, client presentations, seminars, and webinars

Required

5+ years of experience within a professional service organization (Legal is preferred); 1+ years of leadership, supervisory or management experience
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in journalism, English, marketing, management, communications, or other business-oriented degree
Possess diplomacy, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic required
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong skills in written/verbal skills
Attention to detail and a professional demeanor
Strong organizational ability, project management and prioritization
Excellent client service orientation and listening skills
Comfortable interacting with Firm leadership and key department personnel
Experience working with cross-functional teams and overseeing junior team members
Experience with planning and preparing pitches, substantive presentations and other business development materials required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) necessary

Preferred

Experience within a professional service organization (Legal is preferred)
Experience with CRM, document management systems and relational databases a plus
