Regional Sales Director-Central US

SAMPA USA HEAVY DUTY is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty commercial vehicle components, and they are seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead sales operations across a 10-state territory in the Central US. This role involves driving revenue growth, developing sales strategies, and managing a team of Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all sales activities across an assigned multi-state territory (approximately 10 states)
Directly manage and develop Regional Sales Managers and/or Sales Representatives, ensuring strong performance and accountability
Develop and execute regional sales strategies and business plans aligned with company goals
Drive revenue growth by expanding existing accounts and identifying new market opportunities
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to adjust strategies proactively
Establish performance metrics, monitor KPIs, and regularly review results with the sales team
Collaborate closely with senior leadership and internal teams (operations, supply chain, marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence
Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic updates to executive management
Represent the company at key customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
Travel within the territory to support the team and engage with key customers

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
5+ years of experience in the heavy-duty aftermarket
10+ years of experience in field sales roles
Proven experience in regional sales leadership, preferably managing multi-state territories
Strong track record of leading teams and achieving or exceeding sales targets
Demonstrated ability to motivate, and develop sales managers and representatives
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and CRM systems
Willing and able to travel within the assigned territory
