Director of Sales (Founding Sales Lead) [Selling IPaaS and IDaaS into Higher Educaiton]
QuickLaunch is a global Identity and Access Management provider specifically designed for higher education institutions. The Director of Sales will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing strategic sales opportunities with colleges and universities across North America, focusing on the full sales cycle and building relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting to contract closure
Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the higher education space
Conduct needs discovery, product demos, value presentations, and solution positioning
Build deep relationships with campus stakeholders: CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, and procurement
Collaborate with sales engineering, product, and customer success to deliver strong outcomes
Drive RFP responses, pricing proposals, and deal negotiations
Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
Represent QuickLaunch at education conferences, trade shows, and virtual events
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
Qualification
Required
5–8 years of experience in SaaS solution selling, preferably to higher education
Proven success meeting or exceeding sales quota
Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (3–6+ months)
Strong understanding of IAM, IT infrastructure, or student information systems is a plus
CRM fluency and discipline (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
