Responsibilities

Draft estate planning documents
Administer probate estates in Maryland, the District of Columbia and/or Virginia
Prepare and review fiduciary accountings
Prepare and review estate, gift and fiduciary income tax returns
Prepare and review settlement agreements
Oversee the daily workflow of administrative staff
Delegate tasks to administrative staff in an effective manner

Required

7+ years experience as an estate & trust attorney
Solid background in estate & trust administration
Excellent research and writing skills

Strong work ethic
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Must have a bar license in MD
At least seven years estate planning and probate experience required
