Responsibilities

Developing system and subsystem requirements from user mission needs, and tracking requirements throughout the development process
Understanding and utilizing detailed models and simulations of systems for design verification or to enable hardware and software development
Working closely with developers to create operational modes which satisfy requirements and maximize system performance
Analyzing data from laboratory as it applies to and influences design solutions
Formally verifying that solutions meet requirements

Required

Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
Be majoring in Physics, Mathematics, Microelectronic Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Quantum Science, or other closely related STEM field
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2026
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
Experience with Python and/or MATLAB
Experience in Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE)
General knowledge of microelectronics, semiconductors, superconductivity, and/or quantum mechanics
Experience with analysis, design, fabrication, or test of superconducting electronics
