Vice President of E-Commerce

Responsibilities

P&L Ownership and Profitability Management
Develop, manage and optimize the e-commerce P&L, including revenue forecasting, cost control, and margin improvement
Build detailed financial models to guide strategic decisions, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and delivering sustainable profitability
Lead best-in-class e-commerce operations, overseeing site performance, inventory management, fulfillment, and customer service integration
Implement continuous improvements to streamline processes, reduce operational costs, and enhance scalability in a fast-growth brand
Own the full e-commerce technology ecosystem, including Shopify, integrations with ERP/CRM systems, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Triple Whale, MS Clarity), and emerging technologies like AI-driven personalization
Evaluate, implement, and maintain tools to support seamless operations and future-proof the stack
Shape and execute a robust eCommerce strategy aligned with P448's long-term goals, partnering with key cross-functional teams
Instill true business ownership across the team and build a culture where data-driven customer insights turn into action, guided by reporting that focuses on the metrics that move the business
Drive initiatives to boost conversion rates through A/B testing, UX/UI enhancements, personalized merchandising, and data analytics
Analyze user behavior, funnel drop-offs, and customer journeys to identify and resolve bottlenecks, targeting double-digit improvements in key metrics
Champion strategies to maximize ROI across digital channels, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, and affiliate programs
Collaborate with marketing, product and supply chain teams to align on pricing, promotions, and inventory strategies that enhance gross margins and overall profitability
Build and mentor a high-performing e-commerce team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
Establish KPIs for e-commerce success (e.g., AOV, CAC, LTV, traffic growth) and provide regular insights to stakeholders. Use data to inform agile decision-making and pivot strategies in response to market trends
Stay ahead of industry trends in footwear e-commerce, incorporating sustainable practices, mobile-first experiences, and global localization to fuel P448’s rapid expansion

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
10+ years of progressive experience in e-commerce leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior role (VP or Director level) preferably in Fashion, Footwear, Consumer Goods or Retail industry
Demonstrated success in building and managing P&L for e-commerce businesses exceeding $50M in annual revenue, with a focus on profitability and optimization
Deep expertise in e-commerce platforms, tech stacks, and tools (e.g., Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, Attentive, TripleWhale, MS Clarity, or similar)
Proven ability to improve conversion rates and drive bottom-line growth through data-driven strategies
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, or BI platforms (e.g., Tableau)
Experience in high-growth environments, preferably with international e-commerce operations
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

Preferred

Background in the footwear or luxury fashion industry
Knowledge of Italian market dynamics and global e-commerce regulations (e.g., GDPR)
Familiarity with sustainability-focused e-commerce practices
Experience with agile methodologies and rapid prototyping
