Responsibilities
The Power BI Developer is responsible for translating business requirements into technical solution documents and developing robust data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations that follow best practices
You will connect Power BI to a variety of data sources, including Enterprise Data Warehouses, SQL Server, SharePoint, and APIs
The position also involves documenting processes, creating SOPs, and training team members to promote knowledge sharing and sustainability
Ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards, including Row-Level Security, and optimizing report performance and scalability are also key responsibilities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Experience looking at financial data
≥5 years of experience in BI development, with ≥2 years in an advanced role
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
DirectQuery Performance Tuning – reducing query latency by optimizing source queries
Excellent communication and time management skills
Preferred
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst or similar certifications
Experience with the Redshift data warehouse
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Exposure to advanced analytics and AI integration in Power BI
