Responsibilities

Oversee the planning, design, reconfiguration, maintenance, and modification of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities
Develop plant, office, and production equipment layouts to maximize operational efficiency and facility utilization
Review and estimate design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and related expenses
Establish criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment to meet operational needs and comply with building and safety codes
Collaborate with architecture and engineering firms to develop design criteria and prepare layout and detailed drawings
Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction projects and facility acquisitions
Inspect or direct inspections of construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and schedules
Gather and analyze data related to facility or equipment specifications, regulatory requirements, timelines, and construction feasibility
Assist in developing and maintaining short‑term and long‑term facility space plans
Potentially oversee scheduling, coordination, and planning of preventive maintenance activities
Plan and coordinate periodic equipment shutdowns for service and maintenance
Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining full compliance with all quality requirements, policies, and procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree (BS)
1+ years of relevant experience
Conceptual and technical knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within the job function
Ability to solve problems in repeatable situations using professional concepts, policies, and standard practices
Strong communication skills
Highly organized
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Hands‑on, practical approach to work

Preferred

Experience in the medical device industry (strongly preferred)
