Responsibilities

Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities, and innovate and implement process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes
Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, fixturing, and/or automation
Execute the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems
Write clean and concise work instructions that can be understood by product builders
Prepare and present technical data and recommendations at technical reviews
Write validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes
Ensure proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements (e.g., Requirements, BOMs, Validation Plans and Reports, FMEAs, etc.)
Oversee development builds associated with the project using special work requests
Develop qualified production lines
Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) input to the engineering print package
Partner cross-functionally to develop design specifications, test methods, and material selection
Contribute ideas to or generate Intellectual Property submissions
Train and/or provide work direction to technicians and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation
May serve as core team member or extended team member on new product projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with electrical focus
Minimum of 4 years of professional engineering experience relevant to this role, or minimum of 3 years of professional engineering experience relevant to this role with an advanced degree
Programming experience (for example, LabVIEW, MATLAB, C/C++, Python, etc.)
Demonstrated engineering fundamentals (LEAN , DFM, etc) and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in a technically demanding environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Software and systems experience; equipment and fixturing design
Process Development, equipment validations, and process characterization experience
Experience with schematic and circuit board layout (for example Altium, Cadence)
Experience with Design Analysis Testing (DAT) and Design Verification Testing (DVT)
Hands-on mechanical aptitude
Data driven individual; statistical analysis experience
Prior experience in medical device industry or similar highly-regulated industry
Demonstrated use of Design for Six Sigma tools (Design of Experiments, problem solving)
Experience in New Product Development
Demonstrated understanding of problem solving and root cause investigations
Experience developing and characterizing various types of processes
Demonstrated ability to develop equipment/fixtures/tooling from concept to production
Troubleshooting in combination with product yield and performance
Ability to schedule out timelines with specific milestones to achieve and demonstrated success
Experience with Process Verification and Validation
Expertise in Operations and/or New Product Development
Open to travel (domestic or international) up to 20% of time
