Electrical Engineer
Symmetrio is a recruiting company seeking an Electrical Engineer for a global conglomerate in the medical device space. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing analog and digital circuitry for advanced Nuclear Medicine products while contributing to the full product lifecycle from concept development to production release.
Responsibilities
Analyze product functional requirements and translate them into electrical, software, and interface specifications
Develop system concepts that integrate electronic components, firmware, and software to achieve performance objectives
Define and document key functional design specifications, including input and output parameters
Design and develop analog and digital circuits, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards
Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to create an integrated and optimized system design
Select and evaluate electronic components to meet design and reliability requirements
Perform simulations, schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, and validation testing
Lead and actively participate in design reviews, including schematic, PCB, firmware, and system evaluations
Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM), design for testability (DFT), and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
Perform tolerance analysis and risk assessments to enhance product reliability and safety
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design and analysis, preferably within a structured, phase-gated product development process
Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, including microcontroller-based systems
Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for testability (DFT), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and failure analysis methodologies
Experience working closely with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and support teams to optimize designs and resolve technical challenges
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools
Knowledge of safety and EMC compliance standards for medical or industrial electronics is a plus
Self-directed, highly organized, and capable of leading technical projects with minimal supervision
