Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of SOC 2 compliance, including evidence collection, control monitoring, and audit readiness using platforms like Drata
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of IT systems and applications
Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate incident response activities
Manage and secure all internal IT hardware (laptops, desktops, servers, network equipment) and software applications
Oversee network security, including firewall configurations, VPN management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls
Administer and secure operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and other core IT infrastructure components
Manage identity and access management (IAM) systems for internal users and applications
Provide technical support and guidance to employees on IT security best practices
Administer and secure our cloud environments, specifically AWS and GCP, including IAM, network security, data encryption, and compliance controls
Manage and secure our Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) environment, including user provisioning, security settings, data retention policies, and application access
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of experience in IT operations, cybersecurity, or a similar role
Proven experience managing and auditing SOC 2 compliance frameworks, preferably with hands-on experience using platforms like Drata
Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall rules, VPNs, and common security vulnerabilities
Experience with endpoint security solutions, patch management, and vulnerability scanning tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or AWS/GCP Security certifications
Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP administration and security best practices
Experience with Google Workspace administration and security
Experience with Jira Service Manager
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation
Experience with incident response planning and execution
