Responsibilities

Lead and manage the special projects service team focused on large-scale equipment and component rebuilds (e.g., torque converters, differentials)
Develop, schedule, and oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Collaborate with technical communicators, parts, and field service teams to ensure technical accuracy and quality assurance
Monitor and enforce safety, environmental, and company compliance standards
Maintain strong relationships with customers, provide updates and ensure satisfaction throughout project cycles
Review job costing, efficiency, and productivity metrics; identify continuous improvement opportunities
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to service technicians and supervisors
Support warranty claims, failure analysis, and root cause investigations

Required

Experience as a Service Manager in the heavy equipment industry
Ability to lead and manage a special projects service team focused on large-scale equipment and component rebuilds
Experience in developing, scheduling, and overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Collaboration skills with technical communicators, parts, and field service teams to ensure technical accuracy and quality assurance
Knowledge of safety, environmental, and company compliance standards
Ability to maintain strong relationships with customers and provide updates throughout project cycles
Experience in reviewing job costing, efficiency, and productivity metrics; identifying continuous improvement opportunities
Technical guidance and mentoring experience for service technicians and supervisors
Support experience for warranty claims, failure analysis, and root cause investigations
Industry focus in mining, construction, or drivetrain rebuild environments
Strong understanding of hydraulics, engines, and electrical systems on mining-class equipment
Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
Strong communication and customer service orientation
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
