Responsibilities
Completing general preventative maintenance and like-in-kind Force Account system replacements
Working independently to complete work assignments received by a supervisor
Reading and interpreting blueprints
Performing other assigned duties
Qualification
Required
Journeyman level experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of general systems (concrete, carpentry, finishes, masonry, etc.), equipment, and machinery
Ability to work independently to complete work assignments received by a supervisor
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
Two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F
Preferred
Demonstrated experience in one or more journeyman level construction trade skills within concrete, masonry, carpentry, site work, painting, finishes, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or equipment operation
Experience with the tools, methods, practices, materials, and equipment used within the general construction trades relating to the maintenance of buildings
Experience with reading schematics and blueprints
