Responsibilities

Execute a project plan that strikes the right balance between budget, time, and risk
Monitor milestones; ensure they’re completed on schedule
Proactively identify risks to the project and define mitigation plans
Assess and document lessons learned; apply findings to continuously improve project delivery
Track project spending, including vendor invoices and intercompany charges
Manage costs to budget
Apply your knowledge of cloud computing in Microsoft Azure to ask the right technical questions
Coordinate technology changes using ServiceNow, following Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles and CIBC change management standards
Create, maintain, and manage Enterprise Delivery Framework documents to ensure consistent project governance, alignment with organizational standards, and effective project execution
Share ideas, build consensus, and write with impact
Chair meetings
Report status to the program
Hold third parties accountable for their project commitments
Actively manage risk by escalating contractual concerns and potential breaches of service level agreements
Help internal partners make informed decisions about the development of programs, products, and services
Negotiate deliverables and milestones
Develop trusted working relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners

Required

At least five years of experience in project management within the financial services or technology industries
Managed cross-portfolio projects in a matrix environment
Experienced with waterfall and agile methodologies in the context of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience with project management and issue management tools like Microsoft suite (including MS Project, Teams), Planview, ServiceNow, and JIRA
Ability to execute a project plan that strikes the right balance between budget, time, and risk
Proactively identify risks to the project and define mitigation plans
Track project spending, including vendor invoices and intercompany charges
