DevSecOps Engineer - NYC Hybrid
The Developer Link is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to ensure software is delivered securely and reliably. This role involves managing Kubernetes clusters, designing CI/CD pipelines, and improving the scalability of containerized environments while collaborating with global teams.
Responsibilities
Managing and optimising Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and performance
Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, with security baked in from day one
Improving the scalability and reliability of containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
Automating operational workflows using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash
Building and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform, with a strong focus on best practices and security
Taking ownership of production stability through monitoring, alerting, and proactive issue prevention
Improving documentation, project specifications, and technical communication
Working closely with global DevOps and infrastructure teams, including stakeholders in Australia and the UK
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or a closely related role
Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms
Proven experience automating infrastructure in public cloud environments using Terraform
Hands-on experience building and optimising CI/CD workflows
Strong Kubernetes experience, including networking and routing concepts
Familiarity with API gateways and service mesh technologies
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Elastic, Zabbix, or Prometheus
Solid understanding of Git-based source control workflows
Experience working closely with developers and product teams
Strong documentation and communication skills
A security-first mindset, including experience with security tooling, penetration testing, and remediation
The ability to think pragmatically, solve complex problems, and keep systems stable under pressure
