Business Development Account Manager
Storr Office Environments is seeking a self-directed, consultative Account Manager responsible for developing new business and growing revenue across corporate and government markets. This role focuses on proactive business development, requiring a hunter mindset to create opportunities and thrive in relationship-driven selling.
Responsibilities
Proactively identify, pursue, and close net-new business opportunities
Develop and execute a territory growth strategy aligned with revenue goals
Build relationships with decision-makers including executives, project managers, and procurement leaders
Conduct outbound prospecting through networking, cold outreach, and market engagement
Lead consultative sales conversations to uncover needs and deliver tailored solutions
Collaborate with design, project management, and operations teams to deliver integrated outcomes
Manage pipeline activity, forecasts, and account plans using CRM tools
Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and networking functions
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
Proven success generating net-new business and meeting revenue targets
Experience owning a territory or book of business
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
High comfort with outbound prospecting and pipeline creation
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Furniture, design, real estate, construction, or professional services sales
Government or public sector sales exposure
Familiarity with the Triangle or Eastern North Carolina markets
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong personal accountability
