Responsibilities
Provide interim and surge billing support for high-value, complex client portfolios across multiple teams
Act as a senior escalation point for complex billing issues, eBilling challenges, and process questions
Review, analyze, and finalize invoices, accruals, adjustments, write-offs, and time transfers
Research and resolve eBilling rejections and compliance issues
Maintain and interpret detailed client billing requirements and outside counsel guidelines
Partner with attorneys, billing teams, accounting, and finance stakeholders to resolve billing inquiries
Support both U.S. and global unified billing processes, including reporting and forecasting
Analyze billing workflows, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements
Contribute to documentation, training materials, and mentoring for billing staff
Collaborate with technology and systems teams on billing tools, testing, and enhancements
Track and manage service desk requests and escalations related to billing operations
Participate in projects impacting billing practices, efficiency, and service delivery
Qualification
Required
5+ years of senior-level legal billing experience in a large, fast-paced environment
Deep expertise in Aderant (required) and eBilling platforms such as BillBlast or eBilling Hub
Strong understanding of complex billing structures, domestic and international client requirements
Advanced Excel skills (including PivotTables and lookup functions)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
