Responsibilities
Serve as a technical expert for enzyme production and purification processes
Develop, optimize, and improve fermentation and downstream purification workflows
Establish and monitor procedures, process controls, KPIs, and CPPs to ensure robustness and reproducibility
Lead investigations into process deviations, OOS results, and CAPAs
Support technology transfer of new enzyme products from R&D into manufacturing
Author and revise SOPs, batch records, and technical documentation
Utilize statistical tools (DoE, trend analysis) to drive continuous process improvement
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
Provide technical training and guidance to manufacturing staff
Qualification
Required
Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Enzymology, Chemical Engineering, or related field (PhD + 1–3 years, MS + 4–6 years, BS + 7–10 years)
Strong hands-on experience with enzyme fermentation and purification
Experience with downstream processing technologies (e.g., AKTA, TFF, chromatography)
Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, SDS-PAGE, gel electrophoresis
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Preferred
Experience working in GMP and/or ISO-regulated environments
