Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and optimize a self-hosted ServiceNow instance

Provide technical guidance and support for ITSM and ITAM modules, including:

Software Asset Management (SAM)

Hardware Asset Management (HAM)

Configure and maintain discovery services and service mapping

Address performance issues and optimize system instances

Proactively identify and resolve routine problems and platform issues

Collaborated with business stakeholders to define and document business requirements for ServiceNow implementation

Analyzed current business processes and identified areas for improvement using ServiceNow capabilities, helping to drive process efficiency

Developed functional and technical specifications, acting as a liaison between business users and the development team

Supported ServiceNow upgrade cycles and new feature rollouts, ensuring user adoption and minimal disruption to business operations

Advise on best practices for configuration and implementation

Demonstrate experience with APIs, out-of-the-box functionality, and custom implementations

Develop process maps using standard methodologies and toolsets

Create systems engineering documentation, diagrams, and technical artifacts

Support process development and continuous improvement initiatives

Strong knowledge of IT concepts, best practices, and procedures

Experience operating in a DoD or regulated environment

Solid understanding of networking protocols and ability to diagnose connectivity and permission issues
