Responsibilities

Support equity and debt capital raises and sell-side and buy-side M&A (Merger and Acquisition) processes
Lead transactions including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, other equity capital markets activity, high yield debt issuance, and other debt issuance in the North America diversified industrials space
Analyze detailed corporate and financial information and conduct detailed due diligence
Perform financial modeling and analysis related to the valuation of companies including discounted cash flow, transaction comparables, public market comparables, leveraged buyout analysis, and public market overviews
Create pitch books and ideas to present to the clients on potential acquisitions, divestitures, and capital structure alternatives
Train analysts and associates
Lead day-to-day client dialogue, idea generation, and transaction execution
Build relationships with key decision-makers at companies in the diversified industrials industry globally. Prospect new clients not covered by the investment bank to expand the coverage universe
Requires up to 50% domestic, international travel

Required

Minimum of four full years of investment banking industry coverage experience post-MBA or minimum of five full years of investment banking industry coverage experience post-undergraduate
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work)
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions
Adaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team
Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner
Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today's environment
Sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processes
Equity and debt capital raises
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field required
