Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support embedded control software for off-highway construction equipment
Perform software tuning and calibration on machines to achieve optimal performance and functional requirements
Execute software engineering and software-level testing activities to meet project milestones and delivery timelines
Develop and integrate new software features based on system and customer requirements
Analyze software and system-level issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions
Support software validation, verification, and regression testing activities
Manage and support the SVN branching, merging, and release process in accordance with configuration management standards
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including systems, hardware, validation, and manufacturing engineers
Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to software design, testing, and releases
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
Experience in embedded systems and software engineering for off-highway or construction machines
Hands-on experience with embedded C/C++ or similar programming languages
Strong understanding of machine control systems, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols
Experience in software tuning, calibration, and on-machine testing
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and milestone-driven delivery
Working knowledge of version control systems, specifically SVN, including branching and release management
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment
Preferred
Experience with construction, agricultural, or other off-highway equipment domains
Knowledge of CAN, J1939, or other vehicle communication protocols
Exposure to model-based development tools (MATLAB/Simulink)
Experience working in Agile or V-model development environments
