They are seeking an Abrasive Machinist IV - Grinder who will perform multiple machining operations, operating grinding and honing equipment to meet precise specifications.

Responsibilities

Independently set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate centerless grinding, center grinding, or honing machines on a diversified line of work requiring intermediate-level skill
Perform machine setups involving an understanding of manufacturing order of operations and combinations of processes
Work from operation sheets and machine setup instructions
Select and adjust work-holding methods, work supports, stones, wheel speeds, wheel dressing, and machine parameters
Maintain a clean and safe work environment; follow all safety and environmental procedures and report incidents as required
Recommend improvements to work processes and actively participate in 5S initiatives
Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers and contribute to a positive team environment
Support cross-training and learning of additional positions; perform other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience as a grinding operator OR Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining experience
Knowledge of abrasive wheel and stone technology
Ability to select appropriate inspection methods based on GD&T requirements
Proficient in shop math
Ability to provide technical guidance and training to less experienced team members
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Ability to troubleshoot programming and process issues
Working knowledge of feed rate, surface finish, and surface speed relationships across standard aerospace materials
Dependability: Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions with appropriate supervision
Quality & Continuous Improvement: Maintains quality while optimizing efficiency; demonstrates attention to detail
Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively
