Reliability Engineer for Semiconductor Devices

Responsibilities

Develop and execute reliability and qualification test plans for optical devices, with a focus on photonic integrated circuits
Ensure all test plans comply with industry standards, including Telcordia GR-468 and JEDEC
Perform accelerated life testing, build and validate operating life prediction models for optical and electro-optic devices
Investigate product failures and work closely with cross-functional teams to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Analyze test data to identify failure mechanisms and improve device reliability
Understand and translate customer needs and requirements into reliability engineering solutions
Timely Prepare and present reliability reports and documentation to stakeholders
Continuously monitor and evaluate the reliability performance of products in the field
Maintain and calibrate reliability test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing results
Assist in the development and maintenance of lab procedures and protocols

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
Proven experience in reliability engineering for semiconductor and/or optical devices
Strong knowledge of Telcordia GR-468 and JEDEC standards
Experience in building and validating operating life prediction models
Proficiency in reliability test methodologies and failure analysis techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to understand and meet customer needs and requirements

Preferred

Experience with design or testing of photonic integrated circuits
Familiarity with advanced statistical analysis and reliability software tools, as well as knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in reliability engineering
