The APP Fellowship Program offers postgraduate Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants structured training to develop their careers as primary care providers in community health, focusing on quality care for underserved populations.

Responsibilities
Conduct- 6-7 precepted primary care sessions weekly (4-hour sessions)
Participate in a procedure clinic to develop clinical skills in specialized procedures
Engage in one weekly specialty rotation session in areas such as Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Women’s Health
Attend a dedicated 3-hour weekly didactic session covering diverse topics, including chronic disease management, community health, and leadership development
Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team for 2-4 hours monthly to design and implement a year-long QI initiative
Participate in population management tasks and program-related administrative work as part of weekly responsibilities
Conduct 30 hours per week (30 minute visits) of primary care sessions
Serve as a mentor to a Year 1 resident one hour per week
Receive mentorship from a former program graduate one hour per week
Qualification
Required
Postgraduate Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) within 18 months of graduation
Passion for providing primary care in FQHC or underserved community settings
Commitment to completing the full 24-month program
